Lightspeed is a tabletop RPG I'm working on set in a future with faster-than-light travel, but not faster-than-light communication.
You take the role of Couriers, freelancers on a ship tasked with deliver messages from solar system to solar system. Because of their independence and freedom to go anywhere, Couriers often find themselves smuggling mysterious cargo, discretely transporting passengers, searching for lost starships, or performing other odd jobs as they follow their routes between the stars.
Lightspeed is designed to be mechanically robust, providing enough "crunch" for rules enthusiasts, while keeping play fast and easy to learn. The game uses percentile dice and one additional d10, the "Luck die." Several mechanics involve comparing the Luck die to the other dice, or switching one of the other dice with the Luck die.
Lightspeed is still in development. You can expect to see samples and excerpts on the blog.
